Do you think it is easy being me? Fun perhaps? Living
each day as it comes, never knowing what is around the corner. I assure you tis no walk in the court-yard.
I am Thema Oswad, Panther of the Void.
I have always been, at least as far back as my memory
will tell.
I cannot recall a childhood, only myself as a woman
trying despertly to survive in the world of the humans. I knew I didn't belong there; but where else was I to go?
I lived in a small village on the outskirts of Mayflock,
the royal city where the rulers of the land resided.
I worked as a servant girl for a rich family, making
no more then a few coins per moon; hoping and praying that no one found out about my powers.
They allowed me to live at the house and take care
of their newly born child, and there I lived until one day the farmer caught me changing for the hunt.
My ability to shift into the form of the Panther coust
me my home, my job, my reputation, and almost my life.
I was shunned. An outcast. Living on only what I stole
and what I killed.
Until one day,
I was hunting a little too close to the village,
gorging on jucy little lambs. I was so intent on my feeding that I did not hear the farmer, I did not see the ax, at least
. . . until it was too late.
But did I die? No.
I found myself in a place filled with stars and swirling
colors, it was the most beautiful place I had ever seen! Arcing multi-colored lights shot up like curtens on the blue/black
sky! The stars were massive and bursting with colored flames!
A woman approched me; she was old but by no means
distastful to look upon. She moved like a ghost and looked like an angel!
"Thema, welcome. We've been expecting you for quite
sometime."
She told me that she was the Banshee and that I was
an Elemental, but not just an Eelemental, but an Ancient, the oldest and the wisest among them. She trained me and sent me
to my realm, the realm that I was born to rule! The Void. Where coming is going and going is coming, where light is dark and
dark is light, where up is down and down is up. Everything in this world works backwards on intent to dive all that reside
there mad. Except for the ruler of course.
Evil runs rampad on this planet and sometimes grows
so strong that the mortals nor the Elementals can deal with it. And when this happens, the Ancients cast it into the Void
where it must live a life of eturnal suffering and maddness.
Evil must pay for its sins, weither it is paid for
in the mortal world or . . . it has to deal with me.
